LMU BURSA is a student run organization the Burmese Student Association (BURSA) that aims to promote Burmese culture and foster intercultural experience between all of LMU’s diverse demographic. We organize cultural and network events independently as well as in partnership with organizations in California such as BURSAs of USC, UCLA, UCSD, Pepperdine, and CCP.
Over the past years, BURSA has raised over $3,600 to fund textbooks for local Burmese schools.

As a President of LMU BURSA, Aye Myat was responsible for communicating with other schools to make sure events are running smoothly. She is also in charge of social media marketing such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook to promote awareness of Burmese culture.
