FNCE 3400 _ Fundamentals of Corporate Finance
This course is an introduction to fundamental financial decisions made by various types of organizations. The principal objection of this course is to develop an understanding of the basic tools of financial analysis. The topics of discounted cash flow valuation, long-term investment decisions, capital structure, and risk and required are emphasized.
One of the projects Aye Myat did throughout this course was analyzing Kroger, an American retailing company.
FNCE 4410 _ Entrepreneurial Finance
This course is an introduction to the financial aspects of small businesses and entrepreneurial ventures. The key topics include evaluating new business ideas and ventures, reading and understanding financial statements of rapidly growing companies, and developing financing strategies. This course also involves discussions of various debt and equity alternatives of financing, the different valuation techniques, and key tactics and appropriates to negotiating term sheets.
In this class, Aye Myat, along with her teammates, evaluated Common Space Brewery possibility of expansion by performing pro forma calculations, cash flow, and marketing strategies.
FNCE 3420 _ Investments
This course examines the sources and demand for investment capital, the determination of investment policy, and procedures for the analysis of security evaluation. The key topics include stock and bond valuation, capital asset pricing, options, portfolio computation, performance evaluation, and foreign exchange.
